    Inventory Control Analyst



    Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Inventory Control Analyst is accountable for maintaining supply inventories for production and the plant.  Position is responsible for ordering, replacement and requisitioning of supplies, using established vendors, and processing packing slips and freight invoices to ensure accuracy of the supplies being ordered and delivered.  This is a leadership position that is responsible for the supervision and training of the Dry Goods Receiver for the Edmonton South plant.  


    Key Accountabilities

    • Accountable for maintaining supply inventories for production and the plant.
      • Review the daily inventory counts, provided by the Dry Goods Receiver and cross check against production use and production plan.
      • Ordering of inventory to ensure accurate supplies on hand to meet production plans.
      • Identify any potential excess or shortage risks and take immediate action to rectify, including communication to impacted areas of operation.
    • Accountable for monitoring outstanding orders/backorders and conducting follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of supplies.
    • Accountable to assist with and ensure accurate counts and valuation of month end physical counts.
    • Accountable for monitoring and reporting on vendor performance.
    • Accountable for the effective supervision of the Dry Goods Receiver.


    • PMAC certification along with two years’ experience in a production environment, preferably food production
    • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
    • Computer skills with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.
    • Strong mathematical, troubleshooting, and multitasking skills required.
    • Attention to detail in a fast paced environment.
    • Experience in a supervisory role preferred.
