    National Account Manager, Foodservice Sales – Markham


    Position Summary:

    Reporting to the Senior Director, Foodservice Sales, the National Account Manager, Foodservice Sales is designed for an individual, who is a high energy leader. The individual must be a detailed; results oriented and enjoy the challenge of developing new business with both the Gordon Food Service (GFS) head office in Grand Rapids as well as at the Gordon Food Service Distribution Centers.


    Key Accountabilities:

    • Establish and achieve annual volume targets in Value Added and Commodity product categories with Gordon Food Service as well as other selected Key Customer Accounts who utilize Gordon Food Service as their Foodservice distributor.
    • Development of annual business plan(s) in support of annual goals and objectives. Provide leadership and business recommendations aimed at developing profitable volume growth in Sofina branded, GFS branded or Sofina import products with Gordon Food Services.
    • Establish and manage national execution plans for Sofina RAM team on product categories Sofina are strategically aligned in with Gordon Food Service.
    • Identify and develop strategic plans to create new product category opportunities for Sofina Foods in either Sofina brand and/or Gordon Food Service brand.
    • Manage and develop incremental commodity poultry and pork opportunities with Gordon Food Service nationally.
    • Identify and develop strategic plans aimed at targeting key regional customers that utilize GFS Canada as a distribution partner.


    • Post-Secondary Education – Preferably in Business or Marketing.
    • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in Foodservice Sales, preferably with National Distributor Sales and /or National Account Management experience.
    • Understands & practices “solution selling”
    • Proven track record of success with Gordon Food Service.
    • Strong understanding of Gordon Food Service leadership structure and have relationships with key decision makers.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, business writing & presentation skills.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
    • Ability to travel.
